It’s where it all began: the place without which there would be no credit whores, no feelings of sheer euphoria that come with finding that truly special ride, no playground fights between rival enthusiass factions, no raised eyebrows when I tell people that this is my hobby. The blue colors work great, and you've added tons of interest and exposition in what is a very dark area, thanks in part to all the self illuminated details and lights dotted everywhere.Īnd I can't help but notice your facade for the ride is dark, you should really get on that.In July, we traveled to Russia, native land of the ice slides that evolved into the modern roller coaster.

The queue is fantastic and it captures your atmosphere perfectly. A cohesive attraction blending the best of the People Mover, and Space Mountain. And as many others have said, this feels like the attraction Tomorrowland should have. That tunnel sequence just before the starfield segment turned out beautifully though. Though that is also, a minor complaint as most people at parks aren't gonna be phased at all by seeing the trackwork. It kinda takes away from the effect when you're supposed to be in space. In some of the starfield areas, you are illuminating a lot of the trackwork, I think realistically they'd aim the lights off the track if at all possible. You could just hide them in little chandelier disks. And since it's the brightest thing, it kinda sticks out. It's just cause the light distribution is a uniform sphere throwing light equally in all directions including up, and you have half the sphere in the ceiling, and half down in the room, so at the plane that they're intersecting it's throwing light sideways onto the ceiling. Other than the stupid specular reflections bleeding all over the materials, the only real gripe I found was as I said before, the lights in your main queue room, which look to be area lights, are showing light all over the ceiling, which would be impossible. I noticed a few close clearances, especially that last turn at the end, but nothing major.

You did a phenomenal job wrestling with the problems inherent in PC and overcoming nearly all of them. You would think that a game built around complex environments and rides would have an engine capable of dealing with that. Maybe there's a setting within NVIDIA control panel to force to get rid of it. Definitely something RCT3 has over this game currently, and is weirdly something that, at least in theory, should be an added level of depth that gives PC the edge. It really makes dark ride sections hard in this game. Especially concrete, WHICH ISN'T THAT SHINY, PC DEVS. Man I really wish PC would take all the specularity off of everything. Those things you decided to go for I thought was pretty cool! Idk what those were but I thought everything turned out amazing in the end!Īlso, was that Wanda Wonder who voiced the Space Port Navigation AI? I think that might be a cool easter egg if so. You have no idea how happy I am that you came up with something other then Spongebob characters! I know it was a fun thing but to me it always was a distraction. When they landed on the unknown planet I was so intrigued at what you were planning on doing with that section, now that its able to be more developed. I especially loved the fact that you added the Chef Beef advertisement, pure gold! It gave opportunity to hype up the trip to Mythos. I remember you saying that you were worried that the long trek over to where much of the ride took place was going to be long, it was but I enjoyed the chance to get immersed into the story. *After watching video* To quote Doug Walker's character "The Bum" "That was the greatest thing I have ever seen in my life!" That was awesome. You really have something special here with Wonder World. I can't believe that day is finally here! I'm happy that comments like this help you keep going with this project. *Before watching video* I have been waiting for this day for a long time, this thread was started back in 2016 (December so it still counts LoL) and this was the NUMBER 1 POV I was waiting to see! Professor Fate is a very close second.
